During 2013, while living in Mindoo Street, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Africa, an idea of writing a blog came to mind. The humble journey, as a blogger, commenced from a place about 5555 km away from home (Delhi, India).
A few blogs were written and posted on the internet. Honestly speaking, they were just the work of a novice, but they drew the attention of readers from all over the world. However, after posting a couple of blogs, the steam was lost, and my blog ‘kumar-omnibus’ went into hibernation.
The lockdown period in 2020 rekindled the thought of activating the blogging activity once again. In fact, that was the perfect time. Being quarantined between the four walls of the home, the internet was the only open window to the outside world. So, one fine morning, I picked up the laptop and started feeding the keyboard fiercely.
People from far and wide have been reading and appreciating the stories. Though most of the blogs are focused on philately, there are also stories on African safaris, Indian travelogues, animal rescue and adoption, etc.
At the time of updating (01 April 2024), the global readership has crossed 30,000 mark from more than 100 countries.
